United Alum and current Western Illinois University student Alyssa Shea was one of twenty-one recipients of the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year. Shea is majoring in Agriculture Science with a minor in Agronomy and is looking forward to in-person classes come this fall at WIU:

“I’m just looking forward to in-person learning. I did miss that after going back and having in-person learning and actually getting the hands-on labs and all of that. I really do love the labs because you actually learn what you are doing, you don’t just see what other people are doing. Western posted the announcement they will have in-person classes starting up again this fall,” Shea reports.

WIU is in the early stages of planning how things will go once students return back to campus August 24th.
