Danuta was raised in Poland until 1943, when her family was arrested by Nazi soldiers and transported to Germany, where they were forced into slave labor.  They were in concentration camps until the war ended. Danuta had worked as a waitress, and at the Lomax Canning Factory.  Later she became a beautician, and was employed at Luella’s Beauty Shop in Lomax for many years, until her retirement.  She also volunteered at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab in Stronghurst for several years.  She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Raritan.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Aimee Wolfe of West Burlington, IA, two sons, Wayne McIntire of Joliet, IL, Paul McIntire of Stronghurst,IL, four grandchildren, Cody, Mariah, and Elijah Wolfe, and Matthew McIntire,  three great grandchildren, Jack McIntire and Tinley and Aubrey Wolfe, and one brother, Mieczyslaw Lipiec of Austin, TX.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m.Friday July 31, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery near Raritan.  No visitation is planned.  A memorial fund has been established for St. Patrick’s Catholic Church near Raritan.  Memorials may be sent in care of Banks & Beals Funeral Home, P.O.
