Galesburg High School Announces 2020 Hall of Fame Class

Galesburg High School has announced their Hall of Fame Class of 2020. Going in as individuals are Melissa and Melinda Caldwell (’90), Elmer Dickerson (’91), Adam Turner (’95) and Jared Hallam (’05). Veteran inductees include Douglas Halberg (’63), Robbie Derry (’71) and Scott Shaver (’79). The 2009 Boys 4 X 800 Relay team consisting of Greg Whittle, Josh Thomas, Will Remmes and Lucas Junk will go into the Hall as well. Those four combined to win a state championship, beating the runnerup team from Springfield by nearly six seconds. Dick Lindstrom will also be inducted as a Friend of Galesburg Athletics.

The Class of 2020 will be presented at an induction ceremony on Saturday, November 28 in the GHS Learning Center. The induction ceremony will take place at 5:00. Family, friends and former teammates and coaches are all invited to the celebration. The celebration will take place during the Girls and Boys Thanksgiving Basketball Tournaments. At the conclusion of the induction ceremony, inductees will be introduced between the final Galesburg boys and girls tournament games.
