“If It’s Too Hot For You Outside, It’s Too Hot For Your Pet”

Share

As the heat of summer is here, it is important to remember your pets and keeping them cool, says Knox County Humane Society Director Erin Buckmaster:

“If it is too hot for you outside, it’s too hot for them outside. You do have to make sure if you do have an outside pet, it has plenty of shade and plenty of water that it can get too all the time. Pets can knock over water easily, so make sure that water bucket is secure so the pet does have plenty of water at all times,” Buckmaster shares.

Buckmaster also stated not to leave your pet in a hot car while out and about running errands.
