Mr. John Michael Condon, 75, of Knoxville, Illinois formerly of Galesburg, Illinois died 2:45 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville. 

He was born April 12, 1945 in Galesburg to John Edward and Anne (Gioannini) Condon. 

Surviving is a brother, Patrick (and Lorraine) Condon of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, a sister, Margaret Landow of Katy, Texas, five nieces and four nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James T. Condon. 

Michael graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1963.  He served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967 and was a Petty Officer 2nd Class.  He then graduated from Western Illinois University in Macomb in 1971.  He was a director of court services for the 9th Circuit Court in Galesburg for 45 years and retired May 15, 2018.  He was of the Catholic faith.  He was a member of the Galesburg Elks Lodge, American Legion Post 285, Illinois Police Association and the Illinois Probation and Court Services Association. 

Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2020 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  Funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the chapel.  Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg.  Military rites will be conducted by the VFW/American Legion Honor Guard.  Memorials may be made to Knox County Nursing Home.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
