Craig Wilson, MD, orthopedic surgeon and Galesburg native, provides both non-surgical care as well as surgical intervention to help his patients obtain relief from injuries and joint disease, and to recover maximum function.  He specializes in arthroscopic shoulder surgery for treatment of rotator cuff problems, including rotator cuff injuries, torn rotator cuff, shoulder tendinitis and tendinosis and shoulder impingement.  All of which are usually performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to leave the hospital the same day and recover comfortably at home.  Arthroscopic techniques may promote a quicker recovery when compared with traditional solutions.

Dr. Wilson also performs total joint replacement of the hips, knees and shoulders – helping to bring relief to those suffering with severe arthritis and other degenerative joint diseases.  He performs hip surgery utilizing the anterior approach which in many patients helps to shorten the recovery time and he also performs direct lateral hip replacements which can help reduce the occurrence of prosthetic hip dislocations.

Dr. Wilson was raised in Galesburg and has returned with his wife and child.  In his orthopedic surgery practice, Dr. Wilson feels honored to combine two of his great loves—his genuine interest in getting to know people of all ages and backgrounds and his desire to help his patients retain mobility and lead an active life. He is committed to listening to his patients and offering them personalized medical information to serve them best.
