Cross Country

The United Red Storm boys and girls cross country teams ran at ROWVA High School last night in a dual meet against Mid County. United won the girls side 26-29. The Red Storm got a 1st and 2nd place finish individually by Bridget Brokaw and Mikaela Robinson. Luci Kane also placed 4th for United. The Red Storm did not have enough boys to compete for the win on the boy’s side but Hunter Hall gets the individual win for United. Mid County’s Emma Seiboldt placed 3rd for the highest placing Cougar and Kale Campagna was the top placing Cougar boy in 2nd.

Golf

The United Red Storm girls golf team picked up a dual match win over Galesburg at Gibson Woods Golf Course in Monmouth on Wednesday. The Red Storm get the 217-225 victory. Galesburg’s Becca Watson was the meet medalist with a 44. United was led by Paige McKeown and Addy Trego’s 51’s. Haley Marshall was also in the 50’s for United with a 53.

The Galesburg boys golf team went (1-1) vs. Geneseo and Alleman at Bunker Links in Galesburg. The Streaks shot a team score of 163, which was six shots better than Geneseo and four shots behind Alleman. Jason Runbom and Carson Hopping were in the 40’s for Galesburg, shooting a 37 and 39, respectively. Galesburg is now (8-5-1) overall on the season in dual meets.

The Knoxville High School girls golf team lost to both Orion and Sherrard at Fyre Lake Golf Club. The Blue Bullets shoot a team score of 274, while Orion and Sherrard both carded 245’s. Knoxville’s Kaci Luptak was just one shot away from claiming meet medalist honors with a 54 to lead the Blue Bullets.
