Mary loved to sing and encouraged everyone to sing with her during her years of karaoke nights. Her favorite place in the world was the Florida coast and would spend many days and nights meditating on the beach with Shamus and fishing.

Mary requested no funeral service be held. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family interment of cremains will be in the Monmouth Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life party with family and friends in Spring 2021, as to avoid large crowds during COVID-19 of 2020.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mary H Smith Memorial fund @ American Lung Association – http://action.lung.org/goto/maryhsmith.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com
