Prime Beef Festival Hog and Cattle Shows Going Virtual

Share

Even though the Prime Beef Festival as a whole has been cancelled for 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, the cattle and hog events are going on under a revised format. The Hog Show was held on Saturday, August 29th. The Cattle Show weigh-in will be 8-10am on Wednesday, September 9th, with the show taking place at 4:30 pm that evening at the Roseville Fairgrounds.

The 2020 auction will be held virtually starting on Thursday morning and ending on Friday at 7:00 pm. Van Adkisson Auctioneers will be hosting the virtual sale through Proxibid. Those that have already participated in a Proxibid sale for a different auction will already be registered. Others may register at any time by going to vanadkisson.com. You must use a credit card to register, but can only pay for winning bids with a personal check following the close. Proxibid automatically charges a 5% buyer’s fee on the invoice and Van Adkisson is graciously donating his portion back to the Prime Beef Festival. Bids can be made at any time on Thursday and Friday, until the 7:00 pm closing time.

For more information, contact Warren County Prime Beef Festival Chairman Lynn Shimmin at (309)224-1469 or Van Adkisson at (309)337-1761.
