United School Board Votes to Expand In-Person Learning to 4 Days

Share

The United School District Board of Education has unanimously voted to expand their in-person instruction to four days a week beginning Monday, September 28th. Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt reports:

“I would expect after our next board meeting we will know more, assuming the data and metrics continue to stay in the positive frame that we have them right now. That is the hard part, we discussed that. Are our metrics good right now because of what we have been doing? We will see and if adding these days back has a negative effect, we will have to look at things a little differently. Hopefully our numbers continue to stay where they are at and show good progress so we can look at expanding even more,” states Whitsitt.

At the start of the school year, approximately 17% of students had opted to remote learn for the quarter. So far since school began, United has had a total of 31 students quarantine according to Superintendent Whitsitt.
