Share

At the West Central Board of Education meeting on September 23, 2020, the Board of Education approved increasing the number of in-person instruction days from four to five beginning Monday, October 19. In a letter posted on West Central’s website,  this means those who choose in-person instruction will attend all five school days.  Dismissal time will remain 12:15 p.m.  In-person instruction students will have four clock hours of in-person instruction and will be required to complete a minimum of one clock hour of remote learning in the afternoon each day. Remote learners will be required to complete a minimum of five clock hours of instruction each day. Currently, 30% of West Central students (228) are remote learners.  The afternoon time will allow teachers time to work with students, both remote and in-person, individually as well as give teachers the time they need to plan both in-person lessons and remote lessons.
