Macomb Police Department’s Investigation Division announces the arrest of 20-year-old Payton L. Rucker of Macomb, IL for Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.
On December 31, 2023 the Macomb Police Department began investigating an allegation that Rucker had inappropriate contact with a child under the age of 13 between December 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023. After a thorough investigation, detectives presented the case to the McDonough County State’s Attorney’s Office for review. On May 9, 2024 Rucker was formally charged with one count of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child, a Class X Felony. Rucker was detained at the McDonough County Jail where he remains in custody with no bond. No further information is available at this time.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
