This Wednesday, October 7th, the Buchanan Center for the Arts will host their 3rd Annual Cemetery Walk at the Monmouth Municipal Cemetery on 6th Street. Mary Osborne shares a glimpse into the local history that will come to life that evening:
“We have an array of figures this year, some familiar names, such as David Wallace, but also some religious leaders. We have a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. We have some businessmen, so a lot of people who were instrumental in building the community of Monmouth. It is a great opportunity to learn more about your community, to learn some local history, and also just have a good time. We like to be entertaining.”
The Stories in Stone Cemetery Walk will begin at 5:30 pm on Wednesday. This event is free for members and $10 for non-members. To reserve a spot, call the BCA at 309-734-3033.
