Sandra S. Reeves, 68, of Alexis, IL passed away at 4:39 pm, Thursday, November 5, 2020 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL. 

Sandra was born November 20, 1951 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Fred Dale and Marie (Taylor) Johnson.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, IL graduating from Monmouth High School in 1969. 

Sandra married David L. Reeves in Monmouth, IL on June 7, 1970 and he survives. 

She worked in the office for Cropmate then Crop Production Services in Alexis before working for Maytag for several years.  She was the Coordinator of the YMCA Afterschool program in Alexis for 13 years before retiring in 2013. 

She was a proud member of the “Cougar Club”. She loved her dogs, most recently Oprah, Madison and Danny. 

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, David L. Reeves; her children, Melissa S. Rousey and Shannon “Bud” Reeves all of Alexis, IL; her granddaughter, Emily Rousey of Alexis, IL; her brother, Don (Jan) Johnson of Rolla, MO; sister-in-law, Roberta Johnson of Milan, IL; her mother-in-law, Mary A. Reeves of Alexis, IL; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jim Johnson. 

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Cremation has been accorded.  Interment in Alexis Cemetery will take place at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the Sandra Reeves Memorial Fund at sent to the Funeral Home.
