Gloria G. Walker, 89, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 6:15 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, IL. 

She was born on April 23, 1931 in Muscatine, IA, the daughter of Loren Keller and Viola (Wishart)Seaman.  Gloria was raised by her grandparents, Olney & Georgia Keller. She was educated in Illinois City, and graduated from Reynolds High School in 1949.    

Gloria married Wilford L. “Bud” Walker on February 16,1952 in Illinois City, IL; he preceded her in death on August 24, 2019.

Gloria was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family.  She enjoyed jig saw puzzles, painting ceramics, crafts, cooking, baking, and taking care of her flower gardens.  Gloria was a member of First United Methodist Church in Monmouth.  She enjoyed volunteering her time at the Methodist Church in Aledo and Monmouth.  Most of all, Gloria loved to spend time with her family, especially getting together on the holidays.     

Surviving Gloria are four children, Denise Armstrong of North Port, FL, Diane Hamann of Bettendorf, IA, Bruce (Cindy) Walker of Orion, IL and Brian (Jennifer) Walker of Edgington, IL; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Judy Hepker of Muscatine, IA; two brothers, Danny Keller of Muscatine, IA, Tom (Janice) Keller of Davenport, IA; brother-in-law, David (Liz) Walker of Monmouth, IL; one sister-in-law, Jane Larson of Joy, IL; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband, Wilford L. “Bud” Walker; one brother, Billie Keller; two sisters, Patty Holliday and Marceline Waters; one grandson, Benjamin Walker. 

A private family funeral service will be at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL.  Open visitation will be 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2021 at the funeral home, the family will not be present.  Memorials can be made to the Gloria Walker Memorial Fund.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all attendees are required to wear a mask and social distance.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
