Margaret L. “Margie” Sells, age 77, of Oquawka, Illinois; passed away at
2:02 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Klein Center in West Burlington,
Iowa. Margie was born on March 4, 1943 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the
daughter of Chester and Ann Selma Knuth Chick. She was raised in
Monmouth where she attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated
from Monmouth High School with the class of 1961. Margie was first
married to Keith Butler and later married Gary Sells on April 9, 1982 in
Stronghurst, Illinois. For many years she was employed at Admiral
Corporation in Galesburg, Illinois. She later tended bar at many local
establishments in Monmouth and Oquawka, Illinois. She also did house
keeping and painting for a number of people locally. Margie lastly was a
longtime care giver for Ruth Bergman. Her husband and her were members
of the Eagles Clubs in Oquawka and she loved to go play Bingo.
She is survived by her husband Gary of Oquawka, Illinois and two
daughters, Amy Beelman and Shane of Oquawka, and Cathy Jo Drechsler and
Kent of Princeton, Iowa. there are two sons, Scott Butler of Gladstone,
Illinois and Mark Butler of Oquawka. There are four grandchildren also
surviving. She is preceded in her death by her parents, a sister, Clara,
her brother, Bob, daughter in law, Revonne, and her grandson, Beau.

Friends may stop by and play their respects to Margie on Thursday,
January 14, 2021 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Turnbull Funeral Home in
Monmouth, Illinois. Cremation rites are then to be accorded. Her family
has established a memorial fund for”Alzheimer’s” and donations may be
left at the funeral home. A celebration of her life is planned by her
family at a later date. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks will be
