Arrest Made in Connection with Stabbing in Galesburg

On Sunday, February 21, 2021, the Galesburg Police Department responded to St. Mary’s ER in reference to a stabbing victim. Upon arrival, it was found that a 54 year old male had suffered a stab wound to the left side of his back. 

The victim indicated that he had been stabbed by Junior A. Wallace, age 21, during an altercation at the house. The victim was not cooperative and did not wish to pursue charges. The victim was later transported to St. Francis Hospital in Peoria for the treatment of his injuries.

The Galesburg Police Department conducted an investigation into this case. As a result of this investigation, Junior A Wallace, age 21, was arrested for aggravated battery. Junior Wallace remains in the Knox County Jail at this time awaiting a bond hearing.
