Christopher A. “Chris” Cuvar, Jr., 18, of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021, 1:45 PM in rural Monmouth.

Chris was born on January 29, 2003. He was the son of Christopher A. Cuvar, Sr. and Holly M. (Shore) Bushie. Chris is survived by his parents, Christopher (Stephanie), Sr. of Dexter, MI and Holly (Brian) Bushie of Knoxville; brothers, Tyler (Andrea) Unger of Galesburg and Zachary Cuvar of Dexter, MI; maternal grandparents, Robert Shore of Hoopston and Billie Beason of Charleston; paternal grandmother, Fran Cuvar of Dayton, OH; and the love of his life, Allyson Rickords. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Jim Shore; his paternal grandfather, George Cuvar, Sr.; and Cali, his fur baby and four-legged traveling companion.

Chris attended Knoxville Schools. He loved cars, and going to Little Mexico. He was an avid skier and enjoyed going to the Northwoods. Chris was a selfless, kind hearted kid with a soft, sly smile. Family was everything to him, he always made sure to tell them to stay safe and that he loved them. He knew the importance of God, love and life.

Celebration of Chris’ life will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 2-4 PM at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory Fellowship Hall. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements. Due to COVID-19, social distancing, face masks and attendance guidelines will be required.
