ISP release name in Fatal accident in Warren County

The ISP has released the name this morning of the 18-year-old that was killed after his vehicle was struck by a garbage truck Monday afternoon in Warren County. The Illinois State Police indicates around 12:45pm, 18-year-old Christopher A. Cuvar from Knoxville was traveling westbound on Illinois 164, about a half mile west of 40th Street. The Hyundai crossed into the eastbound lane and was struck by a garbage truck driven by 53-year-old Kevin Brown of Abingdon. 20-year-old Johnathan Zefo of Abingdon was a passenger in the Hyundai and 23-yaer-old Charles Posey of Galesburg was also in the garbage truck. Cuvar died due to injuries in the crash. There were no reports of any other injuries.

Celebration of Chris’ life will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 2-4 PM at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory Fellowship Hall.
