Shirley Tinkham Dunn, 65 of Wataga, joined her heavenly family at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at her home.

  She was born September 19, 1955 in Monmouth, the daughter of Benjamin “Bennie” F. and Vivian E. (Condreay) Tinkham.  She married Louis Lee Dunn on July 5, 1974 in Bushnell.

  Shirley is survived by two daughters, Miranda Smith (Trent) of Wataga and Michelle Dunn Groves (Gary) Smith of Havana; one son, Andrew (Courtnee) Dunn of Galesburg; a daughter-in-law, Jane Conkle of Galesburg; her grandchildren, Joshwa Dunn, Alley Dunn, Kayda Dunn Nava, Brookie Conkle, Jim Bob Walters, Brent Anderson, Marty Shaw and Michael Shaw; her great-granddaughters, Esmae Dunn and Aubrey Dunn; four sisters, Marsha Elaine (Charles) Garrett of Bushnell, Mary “Sam” (Steven) Clark of Keithsburg, Jeanette “Punk” (Bill) Miller of Essex, Missouri, and Carol Lynn (Steven) Thrapp of Blandinsville.  She is also survived by her uncle Fred, aunt Lois, aunt Becky and several nieces and nephews.

  Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jerry Lee Tinkham. two sons, Louis Lee Dunn, Jr. and Robert Lee Conkle, one daughter, Deanna Conkle, one grandson, Noalan Eugene Dunn and her soul mate, Jeff Simpson.

  She grew up in Bushnell, Avon and Abingdon areas and later lived in Galesburg and in Wataga.  She was a homemaker.  She liked playing Solitaire, coloring in books, and singing and dancing.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

  Cremation will be accorded.  A time to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting her family with her arrangements.
