The rules for buying a gun in half of the Quad Cities could change very soon. Republican lawmakers in Des Moines yesterday approved a constitutional carry law that will eliminate gun permits in the state. Supporters say law-abiding Iowans shouldn’t have to ask permission to exercise their right to the Second Amendment. Democrats say the end of gun permits could mean more guns on the streets. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has said in the past that she plans to sign the new law.
