Applicants must have completed an minimum of 24 college credit hours and one year of instruction at a college, university, or certified trade school. Monmouth Rotarian Nancy Mowen states the areas of focus an individual must be pursuing in order to apply:

“It follows the six areas of focus for Rotary International: Water and Sanitation, Basic Education and Literacy, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Maternal and Child Health, Economic and Community Development, or Peace and Conflict Prevention and Resolution. So the area of study would need to be in one of those six areas.”
