Local Elections Tuesday, April 6th

Several contested races in the City of Monmouth and local school districts will be followed on this consolidated Election Day. In the City of Monmouth, contested races include City Mayor between Rod Davies and Justin Lipes, for City Clerk Nicole Trego and Susan Trevor, Alderman Ward 1 Justin Thomas and Court Hopkins, and Alderman Ward 4 Kevin Ferry, Chad Braatz, and John VanVleet. Warren County Clerk and Recorder Tina Conard states polling places for today have not changed:

“The polling places have not changed, so everything is the same there. You can find the list on our website. I do ask again that people continue to wear their mask, practice social distancing while at the polls for safety for everyone. Polls will close at 7 p.m.”

Other contested races on the ballot throughout Warren County are in the Village of Alexis for Village President and Trustees, Highway Commissioner in Roseville Township, Coldbrook Township, and Floyd Township, and a race for Trustees in Greenbush Township. For the local school boards, Bushnell-Prairie City, Galesburg, West Central, United, and Abingdon-Avon also have challenged races. Polls close again at 7 pm tonight.
