Country Financial Agent Ben Olson Says More Americans Purchased Life Insurance Policies During Pandemic

Share

The life insurance industry has reported an increase in the purchase of policies since the pandemic began last Spring. Local Country Financial Insurance Agent Ben Olsen says the vaccine or contracting the virus does not affect most policies:

“First off, I want to educate everyone out there that the vaccine does not affect your life insurance application nor does having contracted the virus. Don’t be shy about going out and getting the vaccine, but yes there are a lot of lives obviously that have been taken from us to soon and people are realizing how important having life insurance in place is.”

According to LIMRA, “COVID-19 has also, however, increased consumer awareness about the need for life insurance. LIMRA research finds 6 in 10 Americans say they have a heightened awareness about the need for life insurance due to the pandemic and 29% say they are more likely to buy life insurance in the next 12 months in response to COVID-19. This represents 75 million Americans.”https://www.limra.com/en/newsroom/news-releases/2020/limra-individual-life-insurance-premium-rebounds-in-the-third-quarter/
