Thomas Lee Pulliam, 47 of Abingdon, passed away suddenly Monday night, January 18, 2021 at his home.
He was born May 29, 1973 in Galesburg, the son of Charles Leonard and Linda Lou (Burton) Pulliam. He married Tonya Bloyd on March 1, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada and they later divorced.
Tom is survived by two children, Allison “Alli” K. Morris of Abingdon and Jeffrey T. Pulliam of Abingdon; two grandchildren, Myah Morris and William Morris; two stepdaughters, Hannah Berry and Kiersten Messenger; one sister, Tina (Steve) Jockisch of rural St. Augustine; one brother, Jeffrey (Kimmee) Pulliam and their family of McHenry; two aunts, Jean (Victor) Randle, Sr. of Abingdon and Ava Cecil of Galesburg; one cousin, Rev. Victor “Randy” (Bonnie) Randle, Jr. of Dwight and their family; and his special friends at Blue Bell Tower, Deb, Mike and Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tom has lived in the Abingdon area all of his life. He graduated from Abingdon High School in 1992. He was a truck driver, both over the road and local, for area trucking companies. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed fishing and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Cremation will be accorded. A time to celebrate his life will be held on his birthday, Saturday, May 29th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Blue Bell Tower community room, 300 N. Jefferson St. in Abingdon. Private burial of his ashes will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
