Betty L. Slusher 80 of Media died June 1, 2021 at 3:50 p.m. at her home.  She was born November 17, 1940 in Galesburg Il. the daughter of Maxwell and Edith Lucille Dooley Burton.  She married Dale Johnson, she later married Charles Edward Slusher June 23, 1979.  He preceded her in death July 10, 2013.

She is survived by 1 sister, Anna Zeephat of Palmcoast, FL., 1 brother, Gilbert Burton of Galesburg, IL., and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, 3 sisters, Constance McLaren, Bonnie McCone, and Marilyn Swanson.

Betty graduated from Galesburg High School, She worked in a Factory in Galesburg and Burlington. She and her husband then farmed and raised livestock in rural Raritan, IL. Betty and her husband had a hobby of refurnishing furniture for friends and family. She was a member of Berwick Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Berwick Baptist Church in Berwick, IL.  Tom Smith will officiate.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg, Il. Memorials may be made to Berwick Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com . Wise family funeral home in Roseville is in charge of the arrangements.
