Darlene DeEtta “Dee” Fisher, 87, of Knoxville, was reunited with her loving husband, Jack, today. She passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, 6:55 PM, at her home.

Dee was born on January 21, 1934 to Charles and Ione Brokaw. Dee and Jack were married on September 20, 1951 in Palmyra, Mo. They had 64 years together. Jack preceded her in death on September 28, 2015. Also proceeded her in death was son, Jack Jr. on March 22, 2019. Their son, Dave was born March 1, 1964 and he lives in New Mexico with his wife, Jill. Also surviving, is a sister, Pokie (Spence) of Sandwich, Il and a brother, Ted (Bev) of Moline; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Fisher of Knoxville; three granddaughters, Lauren (Alex) Humes of Naperville, Lindsay Fisher of Galesburg and Jenna Fisher of Knoxville; three great-grandchildren, Max Reese of Galesburg, and Bryant and Nora of Naperville; and special adoptive granddaughters Chloe and Mia.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time. A private burial will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory have been entrusted with services. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.hurd-hendricks.com.
