Mr. David W. “Bill” Begner, 70, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 12;30 pm Monday, June 7, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

David was born October 18, 1950 in Louisiana the son of William B. and Patricia (Spencer) Begner. He married Debra K. Ayers in 1974 in Galesburg. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Shannon (Donovan) Parker of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jeremy (Alisha) George of Cameron, Illinois and Ty Deeringwater of Skiatook, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Faith and Ava George and Natiffany Parker. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lou Ann Begner.

David served in the United States Air Force from 1969-1970 as an Airman First Class

David worked for many trucking companies as a truck driver for many years. He graduated from Princeville High School in 1968. He attended the Central Congregational Church in Galesburg. David was an avid Chicago Cub and Bear fan and fisherman.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, June 14, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Karna Peterson officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the VFW, American Legion and AmVet Honor Guard. In

Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to establish a memorial fund at a later date. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
