Galesburg Police Department Recognizes Two Officers After Recovering a Stolen Car with Firearms

On June 18th, 2021 Officer Ruggles and Officer Carpenter recovered a stolen vehicle and also seized the firearms located inside. Suspects were apprehended without further incident. Officer Ruggles and Officer Carpenter were both awarded a “Blue Max” award by their supervisor (Lt. Anderson) for a job well done! The Galesburg Police Department has recently implemented the Blue Max Award program to recognize officers for a job well done and encourage excellence within the Police Department.
