M-R Board of Education Discuss New Guidance from IDPH for Upcoming School Year

Share

The Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education held their monthly meeting where they approved an amended budget and discussed the newly released guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health regarding academic and sports regulations for the upcoming school year, informs Superintendent Ed Fletcher:

“We had some guidance that came out for schools of June 7th and it is a 19 page document. I would encourage parents to take a look at that as there have been some changes. The changes are in red in this document, but nonetheless, there are still minor changes and we just want to get that to the board. We had a discussion about it because there could be changes in July, there could be changes in August. So if parents are interested they go to the IDPH website or they can go to the Illinois State Board of Education website. There is a box that says ‘COVID Resource’ right there and you just click it. They are the same resources we get. Same resources that we try to interpret with the Health Department is sitting right there.”

Meanwhile, Kira Schumm was seated as a new board member for the Monmouth-Roseville School District.
