Pandemic Leads More To Consider Retirement

Through the pandemic a lot of people have decided to retire earlier than they’d previously planned.

“Mark Hamrick with bankrate.com says the United States is now seeing a problem a lot of other economies around the world are facing. ‘We have a birth rate problem in the sense that we don’t have, potentially enough people replacing the older population and that makes things very complicated and this is in really many ways a sign of things to come.’ Hemrick says this presents both a challenge and an opportunity. Employers can fill these positions with younger less costly workers, but they are also losing key skills the more senior workers possess. I’m Alisa Zee.”
