Rental assistance through the Illinois Rental Payment Program is available at Jamieson Community Center says Executive Director Nancy Mowen:
“We have been able to help quite a few people in our community through that program. The landlord led portion ended on June 7th and now the tenants can finish up their application. If the landlords did not submit an application completely, you are on hold for a little bit. We will start the tenant led portion in a few weeks. We are doing training on June 22nd. This program is for people that are behind in their rent. They will pay up to nine months back rent and three months forward rent.”
