The Regional Office of Education #33 has created a Back to School Adult Education Program. Assistant Superintendent Lori Loving confirms more:
“We have a new program we just started in partnership with the Workforce Investment Office. We are working with our truancy department to reach out to students who have maybe left school, not necessarily the immediate students who left to get jobs, but maybe those who have been out of school for a couple of years and they are kind of contemplating what their next steps are. We are working with those students to see if they want to enroll in our adult education program to earn their GED, or to work with the Workforce Investment Office towards higher employment, or even back to get their GED and then to community college.”
