Scholarship applications through the Tri-County Cattlemen’s Association are currently being accepted through March 15th. Treasurer Thad Tharp has details:

“The application is open for the 2025 scholarship round. Parents, get your kids to tricountycattlemen.com and click the link to where you can print out or there is a fillable PDF on there as well to where you can apply online. They have to type up a little essay talking about the beef industry and the challenges they are in, but it is good. We are finally getting more people to apply for that scholarship. We are glad to see the participation.”

Nine applicants were awarded scholarships for the 2024-2025 cycle: Logan Corzatt, Ryleigh Hall, Alexia Kane, Aubrey Killey, Rachel Leary, Samantha Meyer, Brooklyn Miller, Tyler Shannon, and Owen Torrence. Additionally, at this year’s Tri-County Cattlemen’s Annual Banquet, around $13,000 was raised, which directly benefits the scholarship program.
