Bridgeway Candlelight Vigil for Overdose Awareness Day Scheduled for Later This Month

Share

In response to an upcoming national awareness day, Bridgeway will be hosting a free event on the 31st of August. Vice President Stacy Brown from their Behavioral Health Services reports:

“On August 31st, in the evening, we’re doing a candlelight vigil on the square in Galesburg because it’s National Overdose Awareness Day. I think we’re starting to get to a point where everybody has some connection to somebody has a substance use issue, whether it’s in their family, their friends, who they work with. The day is really to recognize the importance of understanding overdose, and also, though, that people can recover from substance use issues.”
