Danielle B. Cox of Monmouth has announced her candidacy as a Republican candidate for Treasurer of Warren County for the 2022 election. Cox is currently working as an Administrative Assistant for the City of Monmouth.

“For over 14 years, I’ve been dedicated to serving the public through different positions that I’ve held locally. I have always enjoyed working with the public and for our local government. Through my work experience and education, I feel that I am qualified to serve as the next Warren County Treasurer,” Cox stated.

Cox was born and raised in Monmouth where she graduated from Monmouth High School. Cox received an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Midstate College in Peoria, Illinois. Cox has also received an Associate’s Degree in Court Reporting from Hobart, Indiana. In 2020, Cox was appointed to the Warren County Board District 1 and serves on the Finance Committee. For many years, Cox has served on several committees within Warren County.

Cox started her public service career as a 911 dispatcher for the City of Monmouth dispatching for police, fire, and EMS throughout Warren County. Cox continued to serve the public and worked as an administrative assistant for the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for several years.

“Growing up in Warren County has given me wonderful opportunities to be able to work closely with the public,” Cox stated.

The treasurer’s office plays a vital role for the county. The treasurer’s biggest responsibility is collecting real estate taxes. “If elected as your next Warren County Treasurer, I will work effectively, follow the statutes that are pertinent to the office, and provide good customer service and communication to the residents of Warren County,” Cox stated.

Cox resides in Monmouth with her husband A.J. and their two basset hounds Dozer and Gravel.
