As an increasing number of young children are being treated for myopia, Dr. Ally Braet of the Kehoe Eye Care Center in Galesburg and Monmouth describes some of the conditions that go along with a high near-sighted prescription, as well as a new type of contact lens that is being used to control myopia in kids:
“These lenses help focus the rays of light into the eye, and helps slow the progression of the near-sightedness,” Dr. Braet said.
