Dianna Lynn Duncan, age 70, of Media, Illinois, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born June 8, 1951, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Lee and Lottie Rettig Avery. On November 9, 1969, she married Michael Duncan at the Stronghurst United Methodist Church.
Dianna was a 1969 graduate of Media-Wever High School. She was a bank teller at the Bank Of Stronghurst for over twenty years. Family was the most important thing in her life. She loved cooking Sunday supper for the family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband: Mike, one daughter: Amy (Eric) Fleming of Galesburg, IL, one son: Brian (Noel) Duncan of Blandinsville, IL, six grandchildren: Chelsey Stuart, Skylar Duncan, Michael Duncan, Kady Fleming, Dallas Cramer, and Taylor Phelps, seven great grandchildren: Brody, Jadyn, Breckin, Hudson, Lakyn, Ellie, and Jersey, one sister: Connie (Darrell) Kraft of LaHarpe, IL, and two brothers: Neal (Patti) Avery of Media, and Sheldon (Diane) Avery of Glenburn, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents.
As per Dianna’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. A memorial fund has been established for the Knox County Illinois Humane Society.
