Elizabeth W “Beth”. Weber, 75, of Biggsville, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

She was born on June 9, 1948 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of Earl and Martha Wilcox. Elizabeth was raised and educated in Merritt Island, FL and graduated from Merritt Island High School in 1966.

On August 12, 1967, she married the love of her life, James R. Weber, at Grace Methodist Church in Merritt Island, FL. Together they shared nearly 57 years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

In addition to being a wife, mom and homemaker, Beth worked as a Merchandising Associate at JCPenney, served on the Union CUSD #115 school board for many years, volunteered as a Girl Scout leader, supported moms through La Leche League, attended church at the Gladstone United Methodist Church, and ran Grandma Sugar’s Daycare for her grandkids.

Beth loved to sew, bake (pumpkin bars), garden, tend to wildlife especially hummingbirds and Monarch butterflies, spoil her pets and take her grandchildren to story time at the library. Her greatest pride and joy were her 14 grandchildren.

She touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and generosity.

She led a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. She dedicated herself to her family,

cherishing every moment with her husband James, her children Kristina and (Mark) Baldwin of Andover, KS, Jenna and (Chad) Link of Kirkwood, IL, Gretchen and (Robert) Grojean of Chaffee, MO, Matthew and (Toni) Weber of Biggsville, IL, Molly Weber of Pasadena, MD, Patricia and (Justin) Thompson of Monmouth, IL and John Weber (Jessica Montoya) of San Diego, CA and her beloved grandchildren Samuel and Matthew Baldwin, Taylor and Alison Link, Bobby, Rievley, and Kate Grojean, Karley and Tyler Neumann, Owen and Michael Weber, Tobias Goularte, and Logan and Hailey Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David, and son, Zachary James Weber.

Beth will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Although she may be gone, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Cremation has been accorded and a private family celebration will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Henderson County Public Library in Biggsville, IL. McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
