Macomb Police Offering Deer Hunters an Open Range Day

The Macomb Police Department along with the Illinois State Police and Illinois Department of Natural Resources will be hosting an open range day. Macomb Police Department’s Deploy Range will be open Sunday, October 31st, 2021 from 9 am to 3 pm. Deer hunters will be able to sight in their shotguns or muzzle loaders for deer season with the assistance of certified range officer. An IDNR Conservation Police Officer will be on hand to answer questions about the upcoming season.

The Deploy Range is located at the entrance to Spring Lake Park. Targets will be provided. Everyone attending will be required to sign a waiver to participate and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21. Shooters must also bring ear and eye protection along with a valid F.O.I.D. Card.
