County General Revenues Not Growing at Same Pace of Expenses as Warren County Board Passes Budget

Share

The Warren County Board has approved their budget for the upcoming year, which begins December 1st says Chairman Mike Pearson:

“That was fine-tuned and we passed the budget and the levy’s so that is all set for the upcoming year. Everything looks real good. Actually a couple of levies went down just a freckle, but the bad news is basically in County General our revenues are not growing at near the pace that our expenses are. It doesn’t look as promising but we will go through the year. We have excellent office holders and staff who fortunately do not necessarily spend every penny that is allowed in their budget and so we are able to move along and not be overdrawn.”

In other business, the County Board reappointed Mike McVey as Assessor, renewed Thomas Pepmeyer as Associate Public Defender, and is also currently seeking to fill the position of Assistant State’s Attorney.
