The 21st Annual Freezing for Food Community Food Drive supporting the Jamieson Community Center Food Pantry and the Roseville Helping Hands Food Pantry will be outside of Save A Lot Food Store in Monmouth on Thursday, December 2nd and Friday, December 3rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. According to the County Health Rankings and Roadmaps, 10% of the population in Warren County lack adequate access to food. Families or individuals that meet the guidelines can receive essential food supplies at the Jamieson Center Food Pantry, says Executive Director Nancy Mowen:

“Our number of families visiting us has started to increase again. It takes a lot of food to feed families. We give out 50 to 60 pounds of food for every family that comes and so if you do the math, we are over 8,000 pounds of food each month. We are so grateful for the support of this community to be able to keep good nutritious food in our pantry and help those families.”

Meanwhile, in partnership with the Pattee Foundation, Jamieson Community Center has closed on the KC Hall in Monmouth, which will be the future location of a child care center opening in 2022.
