The United School District is continuing to see low quarantine numbers through the fall semester. Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt explains:
“As of last Friday, our numbers continued to be pretty low. In quarantine, I think we were at seven district wide that were out for any number of reasons, COVID related anyway. I think the bulk of them were related. I think, you know, you take one household with two or three or four kids and you land, that will increase your number pretty quick. Overall, numbers there have been pretty good. We went through a stretch where our staff got hit a little bit, but we bounced back from that.”
Overall, Whitsitt says the kids are pretty resilient overall through the indoor mask mandate.
