WCHD Administrator Link Informs COVID Cases Heading in Wrong Direction Leading into Holidays

COVID-19 cases in Warren County are trending in the wrong direction heading into the holidays according to Warren County Health Department Administrator Jenna Link:

“Unfortunately, we are trending in the wrong direction with our new cases and our metrics. Last week was a pretty big week for us, 97 new cases, it was almost like numbers have kind of tripled. So far this week, we are already at like 40. We just continue to encourage, you know, ICU availability and hospital beds are way down. We are below 12%, almost to 11%, and for the region that might mean there are only one or two COVID available beds even out there.”

The next vaccination clinic scheduled at the Health Department is for children aged 5 to 11 on Tuesday, December 28th from 2 to 5 pm. In January, clinics will be held every Friday for those 12 and older. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 309-734-0823.
