Dora Mae (Brown) Bulson, 93 of Galesburg, IL passed away January 5 at Heartland Nursing home, Galesburg, IL with her daughters by her side. 

She was born May 8, 1928 in Galesburg, the daughter of Otis Brown and Grace Smith Brown.  She married Harry Bulson on October 23, 1946. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Sue Marshall Alexis, IL and Patty Smith Galesburg, IL.  Four grandchildren, Mona (Brad) Florian, Connecticut, Tara Marshall, Alexis IL, Rob (Laura) Olson Henderson, IL and Carrie (Tim) Strange, near Nashville, TN. 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and her sister Myrl (Brown) Simons of Mississippi.

She reunited with her loved ones gone before her: The love of her life Harry Bulson, her parents, five brothers; Leroy, Laverne, Dale, Phillip and Frank; two sisters Evelyn Mize and Myra Stickle; two sons-in-law, James Marshall and Joseph Smith.

Dora was raised and educated in Galesburg, graduated from Galesburg High School.  She was a member of the Congregational Church in Wataga.  She enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren along with many other children in Wataga.  She supported Harry with his automotive business Harry’s Service for many years. She enjoyed baking, spending time with her family, cherished her dog; Peaches and playing bingo.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday January 11, 2022 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home & Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made through – https://www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com/
