Emilia Pinedo Arteaga, 67, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 2:00am, Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, IL.

Emilia was born October 15, 1954 in Mexico, the daughter of Antonio Pinedo Solorza and Maria De Jesus Arteaga.  She was raised and educated in Mexico.

Emilia worked at Jostens in Princeton, IL for many years before retiring.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Monmouth. 

Emilia enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and was well known for her tamales.

Survivors include her children, Ignacio Magallanes of Monmouth, IL, Maria Magallanes of Troy Grove, IL, Iduvijes Aguilara, Victor Aguilara and Adrian Aguilara all of Monmouth, IL and Christina Valdivia of Savanna, IL; 15 grandchildren; her siblings, Lamberto Pinedo, Vicente, Pinedo, Juan Pinedo, Anjela Pinedo, Francisco Pinedo, Jose Ubaldo Pinedo, Jose Luis Pinedo, Socorro Pinedo and Maria de Concepcion; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of the Christian burial will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Monmouth.  Visitation will be Saturday morning from 11:00-1:30 pm at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Per Emilia’s wishes cremation will take place following the funeral mass.
