House Fire in Macomb

The Macomb Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in a single-family home at 422 E Franklin St in Macomb. The initial crew arrived on the scene at 12:37pm on Wednesday and found smoke emitting from the roof of the structure. Entry was made into the structure where heavy fire and smoke were found in the kitchen area. The home was determined to be vacant at the time of the incident.
The home sustained significant damage to the kitchen area with smoke and water damage throughout with an estimated loss of $56,000. Chief Dan Meyer says the cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation by the Macomb Fire Department.
