M-R Lady Titans Fall to Illini West in Hard Fought Battle

The Monmouth/Roseville lady Titans traveled to the Illini West shootout and fell to the host school 63-42. The Titans fell behind 11-8 after one quarter and could never catch up with Illini West. The hosts used a 26-16 advantage in the second quarter to open up a 37-24 lead at the half. Carmyn Huston had 11 of the second quarter points for the Titans. Monmouth/Roseville could never make up the ground in the second half as they were outscored 13-9 in each quarter. Leading the Titans was Carmyn Huston with 24 followed by Mattie Gillen with 9. Lexi Finnicum added 5 while Belle Thompson and Brianna Woodard both had 2.
