New Teen Center in Monmouth Expected to Be Completed Next Month

Construction continues on the new Recharge Teen Center coming to the Monmouth community at 213 South Main Street. Located just two blocks from Monmouth-Roseville High School, the teen center will be open after school and throughout the summer for area teens. In coordination with Eagle View Community Health Systems, Recharge Teen Center Coordinator Amy Gugliotta shares the services that will be offered:

“A teen centered space couches and chairs, tables. We also have another room that can be for activities, gaming, or video gaming. Then we have a very nice sized kitchen that will be great to teach the kids how to cook. Then in the back, we have a great partnership with Jamieson Center, and they are going to have an entire pantry back there that kids will have access to. In the basement there is a washer and dryer. We have been taking up clothing donations and we will also have toiletries and hygiene products. The thing I am most passionately about is the programming and partnerships with the school; they have a community service-learning class and would like to be in partnership with them, and also local businesses here.”

The anticipated date for completion of construction at the Recharge Teen Center is February 25th.
