Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 9, 2025:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior girls basketball player, Brianna Woodard. Brianna ended her high school career with a spot on the IBCA class 2A All-State 3rd Team. She was also voted to the TRAC All-West Division 1st team. Brianna posted impressive numbers of 17 points and 9 rebounds a game this season.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior girls track and field athlete, Emrick Huston. Emrick got her track season off to a great start at the ROWVA/Williamsfield Indoor Track Invitational at Knox College. She was a part of two winning relay teams in the 4×200 and 4×400 events. Emrick also had a great individual finish, with a 4th place in the 60 meter dash.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior girls basketball player, Harlee Hainds. Harlee ended a fantastic senior season with a spot on the Lincoln Trail Conference’s All-Conference’s First Team. She averaged 16 points and just under 9 rebounds a game this season. Even better, Harlee performed in the classroom, as well, making the LTC All-Academic team.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is junior girls track and field athlete, Lily Furrow. Lily picked up right where she left off from last season with a great performance at the Moline Indoor Invitational. Individually, she took first place in the triple jump and 2nd place in the 60 meter hudle events. Lily was also a part of the winning 4×400 relay team.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior boys track and field athlete, Carter Stroot. Carter had a fantastic performance at the season-opening ROWVA/Williamsfield Indoor Invitational. He crossed the finish line in first place in the 200 and 400 meter races. Carter also had a top-3 finish in the 60 meter dash, placing 3rd.
